RockSteady, LLC Privacy Policy

Welcome! RockSteady, LLC is committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of personally identifiable information you share with us on our website ("Site") (the phrases “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” mean any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, etc.). The purpose of this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") is to explain to you what personally identifiable information we may collect from you when you visit our Site, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review and correct the information. This Privacy Policy applies only to users accessing our Site from the United States. Please read our complete Privacy Policy. Please review this page periodically, as we will occasionally update this Privacy Policy. We want you to be fully aware and confident of how your information is used on our Site because we appreciate the trust you have placed in us. By using our Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by RockSteady, LLC as stated below. This Privacy Policy is part of, and governed by, RockSteady, LLC's Terms of Use (which is available at this link). If you do not agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, please do not use this website.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. We may track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are or create an account to post and comment on comics. There may be times, including when you create an account with RockSteady, LLC or sign up to receive a  newsletter, at which we ask you to provide certain information, including your name, address, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address, gender, occupation, personal interests, etc. Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to access certain services, offers or content on our Site.

The RockSteady, LLC Site contains links to other sites. RockSteady, LLC does not endorse, approve, certify, or control these other web sites, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy, or timeliness of the information contained on these sites. RockSteady, LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such web sites. Any information you provide to one of these other web sites will be governed by the privacy policy of that web site. We therefore strongly recommend that you refer to each web site’s privacy policy before giving out any personal information on their site.

HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?

Like most companies, we may use "cookie" technology on our Site to track user trends and patterns to better understand our user base and improve the quality of our services. "Cookies" are pieces of information that a website sends to your computer while you are viewing the website, which may then be stored on your hard drive so we can recognize you when you return to our Site. Generally, we may use cookies to remind us of who you are, tailor our products and services to suit your personal interests, estimate our audience size and/or analyze your visiting patterns. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Be aware, however, that some parts of the RockSteady, LLC Site may not function properly if you refuse cookies. Computer "cookies" are safe and are simply the best way for us to offer you the most enjoyable user environment.

We may contract with third parties who may use cookies and collect information on our behalf. These third parties are prohibited by our contract with them from sharing that information with anyone other than us or our Service Providers (defined below).

Like many standard website servers, we may use log files. This includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Log files are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our web-based services.

We may use pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner. These files enable us or our partner to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Site. The cookie may be placed by us, or by another advertiser. The information that we collect and share through cookies and other technology in managing advertising is generally anonymous and not personally identifiable. Generally, it does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address.

HOW DOES ROCKSTEADY, LLC PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

We use the personally identifiable information you provide for internal purposes, such as analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new products, services and offers, and providing you with information from and about us. From time to time we may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including data management, promotional services, etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours.

Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on RockSteady, LLC; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of RockSteady, LLC; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of this Site or the public.

We use sophisticated encryption and authentication tools to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our Site, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will do our best to protect its security on our systems.

If you have created an account with us, we urge you to keep your password in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone. Also, remember to sign off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place such as a library or Internet café.

EDITING, UPDATING, CORRECTING AND DELETING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU.

We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from us, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at mail@rocksteadyclip.com. Please be sure to include your e-mail address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your e-mail address, street address or other personal information with us, please contact us the same way.

Please note that sometimes these requests may take some time to be effective, and if you delete certain information, you may not be able to continue to access certain portions of our Site without entering additional information.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (UNDER THE AGE OF 18)

RockSteady, LLC takes children's privacy seriously and wants children and parents to understand that our Site is not intended for children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not use this Site. We do not permit anyone under the age of 18 to register with us. We do not seek to collect personal information about children through our Site. If we become aware that a person submitting personal information to us through any part of our Site is a child under the age of 18, we delete the information as soon as we discover it and do not use it for any purpose, nor do we disclose it to third parties. Since we do not seek to collect any personal information about children, and we delete information collected inadvertently as soon as we discover that a child has submitted it, we typically retain no information about children that could be reviewed or deleted. If a parent requests review or deletion of information about their child before we have discovered and deleted the information, we will of course honor that request. Please contact us at mail@rocksteadyclip.com.
